The project which will benefit around 1500 families is expected to be completed by 2016.

The President after commencing construction work of this project visited the Etampitiya Neegrodarama Vihara and engaged in religious observances. Thereafter the President laid the foundation stone for the proposed 3 storey multi purpose building complex at the temple.

President Rajapaksa also called on the chief incumbent of the viharaya ven.Wethalawe Dhammavipula Nayaka Thero.
