A decision was taken to provide maximum security to the candidates contesting for the forthcoming Presidential election during the Security Council meeting held under the patronage of the President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday.
The President advised those heading security institutions to provide maximum security as requested by the candidates contesting the forthcoming presidential elections during the meeting at the presidential secretariat, a media release by the President’s Media Division said.
