President Mahinda Rajapakse assured the Muslim community in the Moneragala District that the government is dedicated to safeguard the rights of the Muslim community. The President also said that Muslims have always extended their cooperation to the government. He was addressing the Muslim community when he met them in the district at a special meeting held in Moneragala yesterday.
Over 2000 Muslim people in the Moneragala District participated at the meeeting and they warmly welcomed President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Senior Minister A.H.M.Fouwzie, Ministers Sumedha G.Jayasena, Johnston Fernando, Parliamentarian A.H.M.Azwer participated at the meeting.(KH)
