FIFA World Cup Trophy – 2018 historic journey begins from Sri Lanka ^Featured

The 2018 FIFA World Cup Trophy is scheduled to visit more than 54 countries around the globe giving an opportunity to see the trophy in person for the football fans and Sri Lanka has been selected as the first country where this historic journey begins.

The officials of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka and representatives of the institutions providing sponsorships informed the President officially in this regard at the President’s Official Residence, yesterday (21st Dec.).

The 2018 FIFA World Cup Trophy will bring into Sri Lanka on 23rd January 2018 and later the Trophy will officially be handed over to the President. Receiving this opportunity is a great honour for Sri Lanka.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup Trophy will keep at the BMICH on 24th January for the public view and on the same day the Trophy will be taken back to the Maldives.
