President Sirisena visited them responding to a request made by Vidya’s mother at the occasion the president was participating at the concluding ceremony of the Nila Mehewara – President’s People Service National Program, held at Saivapragasa Ladies' College in Vavuniya yesterday (21st Oct.).

 
The President looked into the well-being of the family members of Vidya. He assured every support for the family, including the assistance for the education of the elder sister of Vidya.

Vidya’s mother expressed her gratitude to the President for his intervention to expedite the relevant legal activities to bring justice.
