    Japanese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs called on President

    The Japanese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Iwao Horii who arrived in Sri Lanka to participate in Indian Ocean Conference – 2017, called on President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (1st Sep.).

     

    The President lauded the Japan’s contribution towards the development of Sri Lanka, as a true friend without any strings attached. He expressed his heartiest gratitude to Japan.

     

    The Japanese Minister commended the commitment of the Sri Lankan government towards the peace, reconciliation and the development. He said he would be committed to continue the JAICA donations to Sri Lanka.

     

    The Vice Minister Horii invited President Sirisena to make an official visit to Japan in the near future.
