President Maithripala Sirisena participated as the Chief Guest of the cultural concert organized to mark 70th Independence Day celebrations of India, held at the BMICH, yesterday (15th Aug.).
The music of the concert was performed by the famous Indian musician Bikram Ghosh and the President presented souvenirs to the musical group.
The Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, and former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga also participated in this event.
