    Govt. launches development process to strengthen rural economy – President Featured

    President Maithripala Sirisena says the present government has given priority for a development process which provides a better education for the children in the country and strengthens the economy of the rural people.

    He made these remarks participating in a religious ceremony to unveil the pinnacle of the new chaithyaya at Aralaganwila Sri Jethavanarama Temple on 5th August.

     

    The strategy of the government is to give benefits of the development to all citizens and to improve their economy, the President said. In addition he said that he would take steps to fulfill all the needs in the sectors of education, health as well as drinking water issue within the next three years, eradicating the unfairness taking place in the process of development for the people in the Polonnaruwa district.

     

    President Sirisena said the religious places including the temples in the villages must take the lead to build a better society.

     

    The President also presented the puja bhumi deed of the Viharaya to the Chief Incumbent Ven. Minneriye Subalankara Thero.
