President Maithripala Sirisena opened the newly built Seema Malakaya and the two-storeyed building with the Dhathu Mandiraya at the Navinna Raja MahaViharaya in Maharagama on 19th June.
This new Seema Malakaya and the Dhathu Mandiraya was built at a cost of over Rs. 10 million.
Maha Sangha including Ven. Dr. Ittapana Dhammalankara Nayaka Thero, Ven. Prof. Bellanwila Wimalaratana Nayaka Thero, Chief Incumbent of the Navinna Raja MahaViharaya and the Monaragala District Chief Sanghanayaka Ven. Paradande Indrarathana Thero and Minister Wijedasa Rajapakse also participated on this occasion.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
