    Pakistan Navy Chief calls on Prime Minister

    The Chief of the Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, who was on an official visit to Sri Lanka called on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees, Colombo yesterday (14th June).

    The Prime Minister and Pakistan Navy Chief recalled the longstanding relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka and reiterated the need of further strengthening of existing relations. The cordial discussions came to an end with the exchange of mementoes to signify this occasion.

     

    Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Ekanayake, and Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, Dr. Safraz Ahmed Khan Sipra were also present on this occasion.

     

    Meanwhile, concluding his three day official visit to Sri Lanka, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah returned to his country yesterday. He was bade fare well by Commander of the Navy at the airport as a sign of gratitude to his Pakistan counterpart.
