The ‘Pulathisi Poson Udanaya’ at Polonnaruwa Gal Viharaya was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (8th June).
In parallel, an exposition of sacred relics was also organized and it was opened by President Sirisena.
The sacred relics were brought from Nelligala Raja Maha Viharaya and the exposition was organized to invoke merit to the people who lost lives due to the recent floods and landslides and bless the people who were affected.
The program consisting of pandals, lanterns and dansal will be held until the 10th June.
