    Third Indian Ship arrives to assist flood victims

    The third Indian Naval Ship, 'INS Jalashwa' along with rescue and medical teams and relief goods arrived at Colombo Port today (30th May) to assist in flood relief efforts in the country.

    Secretary to the President P. B. Abeykoon received the relief materials on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka and later handed it over to the Navy Commander Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne.

     

    The Government of India has sent rescue teams and granted 10 tons of relief goods to Sri Lanka and it consists of medical drugs, dry rations, mini boats, bottled water, rain coats, and camping tents.
