    Indian Private Sector investors willing to come to Sri Lanka – Indian FM Featured

    Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj while emphasizing India’s commitment towards a future where the bilateral ties with Sri Lanka are further strengthened, ensured the willingness of the Indian private sector investors to invest in Sri Lanka.

    She said that she had held discussions with the Sri Lankan Prime Minster Ranil Wickremesinghe on many occasions in various capacities, and that friendship between them was steady, even when PM Wickremesinghe was in and out of power.

     

    Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe called on Minister Swaraj yesterday (5th Oct.) at Taj Palace in New Delhi. They discussed issues pertaining to the field of fisheries, and the immediate solutions that could be taken in a sustainable manner. A high level ministerial discussion will be held in November in this regard.

     

    They also discussed in detail regarding the terrorism in the region as well as border terrorism. There it emphasized the importance of convergence to eliminate the terrorism and Premier Wickremesinghe assured Sri Lanka’s fullest cooperation for strengthening regional peace.
