The President officially named the new auditorium of the Sports Ministry as the ‘Duncan White Auditorium’ at this occasion.

He also presented prizes and certificates to those who performed for the enhancement of the field of sports.

The President was presented a number of books written on the field of sports. The book Kreeda Paripalanaya ha Kreedave Idiri Gaman Maga (Sports Administration and the Way Ahead of the Sports), written by Ashoka Gunathilaka, and the book Duncan White, written by Lalith Gunawardena were presented to the President.

Minister of Sports Dayasiri Jayasekara presented a special souvenir to the President at this occasion.

Minister Malik Samarawickrama, Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala, Sports Minister of Sabaragamuwa Province Athula Kumara Rahubadda and the secretary to the Sports Ministry D. M. R. B. Dissanayaka also participated in this event.
