Wining the Warne-Muralitharan Trophy held at the Galle International Stadium on August 06 Sri Lanka has achieved this historical victory.

Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath achieved a hat-trick by capturing 3 wickets in 3 successive balls and it was added to the cricket records as a significant event. Sri Lanka entered Test cricket in 1982 and since then has played 250 test matches.

Expressing his best wishes on this great victory the President wished strength, courage, and willpower to the Sri Lanka cricket team lead by Angelo Mathews to make Sri Lanka proud once again and extended best wishes to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and its management.
