Ceremonial unveiling of the Kotmale Mahaweli Maha Seya (Pagoda) will take place on 20th June under the patronage of the President Maithripala Sirisena and the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The Mahaweli Maha Seya in Kotmale was inaugurated under the patronage of the former President J.R.Jayawardhana, and Gamini Dissanayake, the Minister of Land Development and Mahaweli Development.
This 289-feet high pagoda with a 628-feet diameter provides accesses about 4,000 devotees for one occasion.
