According to MP Sumathipala the results of the investigation would be tabled today in Parliament enabling the Party Leaders to take action against those who were in the brawl. “The members have clearly violated the Standing Orders. They are not allowed to come to the main isle for any reason. They have also disregarded the Speaker’s direct orders. Unless It is very unfortunate to see a fellow members getting wounded inside the Parliament,” he said.
Assuring media the CCTV footage is now in his custody and it would not go missing Deputy Speaker said: “Terrorism is not what we would allow in the Parliament.” (AH)
