President called on the Most Ven. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thera of the Atamasthana in Anuradhapura yesterday and thereafter paid homage to the historic Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. The President also received blessings with Seth Pirith from the Maha Sangha led by the Most Ven. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thera.

The President later participated in religious worship and rituals at the Ruwanweli Maha Seya.

Ministers Chandrani Bandara, Chief Minister Peshala Jayarathna were among several others who were present n the occasion.
