The Speaker of House Karu Jayasuriya Chaired the Council with nine other members including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Office of the Speaker said.

 During the discussion several matters with regard to nominations received for independent bodies for which members have not been appointed yet were discussed.

The Council, decided to meet again on Friday (06) at .2.30 pm for further discussions before submitting  final recommendations.
