Govt. will provide equal facilities to all schools - President

The Government endeavors to provide equal facilities to all Schools throughout the country to minimize competition among parents for popular schools, the President said.

President Maithripala Sirisena made this statement participating at a ceremonyheld last Saturday (17) to declare open the new Technological Laboratory at the Athtanakadawala Central College built under the 'Pibidemu Polonnaruwa' District Development Programme.

The students warmly welcomed the President when he arrived at the School.

He also made an inspection tour of the new Laboratory. During the inspection tour, he had a very cordial and friendly discussion with the students.

The President also presented prizes to students who showed their outstanding performance in the education field.

Peshala Jayarathna - Chief Minister of North Central Province, Parliamentarians Nalaka Kolonne and Sidney Jayaratnewere among those present.
