The interviews will be held at the regional centres in Anuradhapura, Kandy, Ratnapura, Kegalla, Kadawatha, Matara, Galle and Tangalle as well as at the head office in Battaramulla.
The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLBFE) said 4,294 candidate have passed last month’s Korean Language Proficiency Examination (KLPE) out of 13,088 candidates and they are eligible for employment in Korea.
The results can be accessed through the Bureau’s website
www.slbfe.lk and the candidates could also obtain the interview date, time and venue by entering their Exam Index
The SLBFE said that this year's exam was held solely for employment in production sector. The Foreign Employment Minister had held discussions recently with Korean Deputy Minister of Planning
and
Coordination Mr.Chan Hun Han to secure more employment opportunities in Korea for Sri Lankan's in the fields of fisheries, agriculture and construction.The Minister has further pointed out that due to high demand for Korean jobs
certain elements are attempting to cheat people by promising them jobs in Korea.
The Minister has reiterated that only the Foreign Employment Bureau could provide employment opportunities in Korea
and has cautioned Korean employment seekers to be vigilant of such elements.
