Hon. C. B. Rathnayake, Minister of Wildlife & Forest Conservation raised awareness on this device at Ministerial Consultative Committee on Wildlife & Forest Conservation committee meeting held in Parliament.
Introducing the product on behalf of Nano Vision Anuradhapura Pvt. Ltd. under the guidance of the Institute of Industrial Technology, Mr. G. V. K Samaranayake said that about 400 of these devices have already been sold. He also said that this device can cover a distance of about ten kilometers.
Therefore, Hon. Minister C. B. Rathnayake instructed the officials that immediate action be taken to further test the technical accuracy of this device in order to use it.
In addition, issues pertaining to the allocation of the Thambapanni Rajamaha Vihara land, lands in Ampara, Mullaitivu, Mannar, Vavuniya, Batticaloa, Galle and Matara as well as issue pertaining to land belonging to the Ministry of Wildlife and Forest Conservation were also discussed at this meeting.
Hon. State Ministers Wimalaweera Dissanayake, Hon. Minister (Dr.) Sarath Weerasekera, (Prof.) Channa Jayasumana and Hon. Members of Parliament Isuru Dodangoda, Charles Nirmalanathan, Akila Ellawala, Chandima Weerakkody, Rohana Dissanayake, S. M. M. Muszhaaraff, Shanakiya Rasamanickam, Mayadunna Chinthaka Amal, Sivagnanam Sreetharan and Weerasumana Weerasinghe were present at this committee meeting held.
