The Minister said this yesterday (20) at the Cabinet decision media briefing held at the Department of Government Information.

Minister Pathirana affirmed that the health sector could tackle if another Covid-19 wave emerges as the country was able to control the first and second waves of the Covid-19 and that the government is closely monitoring the situation.

Moreover, the Minister mentioned that the second vaccination process will begin by the end of this month.

He further reiterated that rumours regarding the unavailability of Covid-19 vaccine for the second dose are baseless and there is no use for any undue fear regarding this.
