Since the curfew was imposed on March 20th at 6.00 pm until 6.00 am today (01), the police had arrested 8,451 persons for having violated curfew orders and taken into custody 2,078 vehicles, the Police Headquarters said in a notice.

From 6.00 am yesterday (31) to 6.00 am today (April 01) the police had arrested 1,093 persons who had violated curfew regulations. In addition, the police had also taken into custody 310 vehicles.
