All six are males and one of them is being treated at the Polonnaruwa Hospital while four others were found at quarantine centres. The fourth is a Sri Lankan who had arrived in the
country from Kerala, India.
By this evening the 22nd person had tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) by late afternoon yesterday, Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe confirmed.
The 73-year-old male patient is currently receiving treatment at the Karapitiya Hospital.
Earlier yesterday, three more patients tested positive for the Coronavirus and they are currently receiving treatment at the Angoda IDH, said Health Services Director General Sr.
Anil Jasinghe.
He said this during a media briefing held at the Government Information Department yesterday (16). One of the confirmed cases is a 13-year-old girl, while the other two are a 50-year-old and a 37-year-old. With the latest detection, the total number of confirmed cases has risen to 28.
