Accordingly, she urged the public to visit the hospital on in case of a sudden accident, treatment or essential services.

The Eye Hospital Director Dr. W.L.L.U.C. Kumaratillake said that around 3000 patients arrive at the Colombo Eye Hospital daily for numerous treatments. However, given the current threat of the Coronavirus, there is a great danger of the virus spreading within a large gathering.

She further noted that in keeping with the measures taken by the government to minimize the spread of the Coronavirus, all unessential gatherings should be limited. Therefore, she urged the public to visit their closest government hospital if required and avoid coming to the Eye Hospital unless there is an urgent requirement.
