    Selected graduates will definitely be given appointments – Minister Bandula

    The appointments for the 45,585 selected graduates will definitely be given employment and there is no need to have any doubt about it, said Minister of Information & Communications Technology, Higher Education, Technology & Innovations Dr. Bandula Gunawardena.

     

    Addressing a media briefing held at the Government Information Center today he said that the names of the selected graduates would be published in the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Local Government and Provincial Councils web site on March 11th.

    He said that the training for these selected graduates would commence a week after the elections are concluded from May.

    During the training period the graduate trainees would receive an allowance of Rs. 20,000.

    For the graduates who had fulfilled the selection criteris but their names are not on the list, they could appeal to the Presidential Secretariat, he said.

    The minister also noted that the condition where graduates were notified to report to their respective centers within seven days of receiving the letters is now anulled. He added that those who have been selected would definitely receive their appointments.
