The Committee was informed that the matters concerning the Sri Lanka Principals' Service and the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service have been submitted for cabinet approval whilst the discussion regarding Non- Formal Education have reached the final stages of closure.
The Sri Lanka Teachers' Service, the Sri Lanka Principals' Service and the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service thanked the Committee for their involvement in solving the long running issues. In addition, the committee was also informed that the Introducing of an industry-oriented computing degree programme into Sri Lankan state and non-state higher educations have also been submitted for cabinet approval.
State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna, MP Rohini Kumari Wijerathna, MP (DR) Nalinda Jayathissa, MP Wijepala Hettiarachci were present at the meeting.
