A Zambian Army delegation headed by Lieutenant General W.M Sikazwe presently in Sri Lanka on an official tour, visited the Naval Boat Building Facility in Welisara where they were warmly received by Director Marine Engineering, Commodore Kapila Silva and Naval Officer in-charge of Welisara Naval Complex, Captain Pujitha Sugathadasa. The Zambian Army Commander also paid special attention to the vessels being manufactured in the SLN Boat Building Yard and the Manager NBBY, Commander Dinuk Bogahawatta briefed the Zambian delegation members about construction projects being undertaken by NBBY. Commodore Superintendent Dockyard (West) Commodore Dilruk Pathirana was also present on this occasion.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Navy has already handed over 02 Wave Riders to the Seychelles and 03 Wave Riders and 06 Cedric Boats to Nigeria, produced at the Naval Boat Building Yard
