A three-member committee has been appointed to look into yesterday’s Yal Devi derailment.The committee has been instructed to submit an immediate report on the accident, said the Superintendent of Railways Gamini Seneviratne.
Yal Devi train derailed between Galgamuwa and Ambanpola railway stations yesterday disrupting the entire Northern Railway services throughout the day.However, The Railway Control Room said that the Railway officials took steps to restore the track between Galgamuwa and Ambanpola railway stations.
