President Gotabaya Rajapaksa,is slated to visit India on November 29. This will be his first official foreign visit as President.President Rajapaksa has accepted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to visit India next week. Rajapaksa will visit India on November 29, Indian Foreign Minister S.Jaishankar tweeted.
Foreign Minister S.Jaishankar said this after meeting the President yesterday evening in Colombo. On Sunday, Indian Premier Narendra Modi invited Rajapaksa to visit India as his first official foreign tour.A warm meeting with Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.Conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of a partnership for shared peace, progress, prosperity and security. Confident that under his leadership, India - Sri Lanka relations would reach greater heights, Jaishankar tweeted.
