President Maithripala Sirisena handed over a donation of Rs 10 lakhs to the mother of late Police Sergeant Bhatiya Bandara Ratnayake, who was attached to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD), and was killed while conducting a search at a suspected safe house in Dematagoda.
The donation was made at the Presidential Secretariat, yesterday (28).Mrs.K.A.Inoka Shirani, the mother of the late Police Sergeant Bhatiya Bandara Ratnayake, received the cheque from the President and the family members of the late Sergeant also participated on this occasion.
