Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces – Central (SF-Cen) on behalf of the Commander of the Army received the Indian Army Chief and his delegation at the venue. The delegation was also received by the Diyawadana Nilame (chieftain) of the sacred place.
Indian Army Chief also visited the Sri Lanka Army School of Signals (SLASS) in Kandy and declared opened its state-of-the art new Communication Technology Training Laboratory (CTTL) in the school premises.
Meanwhile, General Bipin Rawat called on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees in Colombo on 14th May.
Indian High Commissioner Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Commander of Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake also participated on this occasion.
