The Government of Finland has agreed to provide grants and concessionary loans for development projects in Sri Lanka. The agreements in this regard were signed yesterday (10th Oct.) at the Foreign Ministry of Finland.
The agreements were signed between Finance Ministry Secretary R.H.S. Samaratunga and Director General of Finland Foreign Ministry Sathu Sakunthala.
Under this agreement, grants and concessionary loans will be given for development projects which are agreed for by both countries. The agreement is implemented under the concessions granted by Finland for developing countries.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
