Minister of Petroleum Resources Development Arjuna Ranatunga said that as a government no decision has been taken to increase the price of fuel.
Minister made these comments yesterday (9th Oct.) in parliament answering a question raised under standing orders 23(2).
This is not the time to increase the prices and the government has not taken a decision to do so. We are discussing about a price formula. There is no plan to privatize the Petroleum Corporation but we have a responsibility to strengthen the corporation, said the minister.
