Minister of Health, Nutrition, and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senarathne said that a Cabinet Memorandum on making ambulances toll free on express ways would be presented in Parliament soon.
The minister made an inspection visit to the Puttalam Base Hospital yesterday (7th July) and the staff of the hospital pointed out that the health officers who are in the ambulances have to pay the express way fare when they transport patients from the Puttalam Hospital to the National Hospital.
The minister who paid attention in this regard assured to present a Cabinet Memorandum considering this as a national policy.
