    June 06, 2017

Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne refuted the allegations made by the GMOA that there is a shortage of Dextran-40 drug given for dengue patients in government hospitals.

He said that there is a sufficient quantity of this drug available in government hospitals. More stock of this drug will be received tonight (6th June) from Thailand, he added.

“We are not receiving stocks sufficient for years. It cannot be purchased from the market. It can only be bought from Thailand. The government of Thailand has promised to provide the required amount of drugs.”
