Nine persons have died while 10 persons are missing in the Galle district, the District Disaster Mangement Center said.
About 114, 161 persons belinging to 28, 270 families in 337 grama seva divisions have been affected by the prevailing disaster situation. 90 houses have been fully damaged while 260 are partially damaged.
11 relief camps are in operation in Galle district and the relief measures will be continued.
