President of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bhandari who arrived in Kandy this morning visited the Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya.
She planted a sapling of a tree at the garden.
She arrived in Kandy to participate in the closing ceremony of the UN Vesak day celebrations in Sri Lanka.
She will also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and the Kandy Perahera organized by the Sri Dalada Maligawa.
