The draft of the National Child Protection Policy is a result of extensive consultations at national, provincial, and local levels held over a period of more than a year. The National Child Protection Authority has facilitated the process of drafting the policy by gathering, incorporating and organizing workshops of the views of all relevant sectors, including National and Provincial Commissioners of Probation and Child Care, Department of Police, Children’s Secretariat, the Ministries of Women and Child Affairs, Education, Health, Labour, Justice, Social Empowerment and Welfare, and Foreign Employment, Family Health Bureau, INGOs, NGOs, international organizations, and experts in the field.
