Specialist Dr.C.N.Antonypillai said that the Health Walk has been organized by the Diabetes and Endocrine Unit of the Kandy General Hospital and the Diabetes Sri Lanka Organization to bring awareness on  diabetes related problems and the need for timely management of diabetes to prevent complications and live a healthy active life.

 

 

The Health walk will start from the Kandy General Hospital area and will proceed up to the Kandy main bus stand.  Thereafter it will proceed along Bandaranaike Mawatha, Dalada Veediya up to the premises of the Sacred Tooth Relic.  A crowd of more than 2000 representing various organizations are expected to participate in the Health Walk.

 

 

After conclusion of the walk, arrangements have been made to conduct a diagnose clinic where doctors will examine 1500 individuals, Dr.Antonypillai revealed.
