Sri Lankan Companies Shine at BioFach 2025

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) successfully organized a country pavilion at BioFach 2025, the world’s largest annual organic trade fair, recently in Nuremberg, Germany.

Nine Sri Lankan export companies participated in the event, showcasing a diverse range of certified organic agricultural products, including food & beverages, spices, tea, coconut-based products, fruits & vegetables, and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) certified Ceylon Cinnamon products.

BioFach provided an excellent platform for organic producers, exporters, and buyers from around the world to connect, exchange business opportunities, and explore the latest trends in the organic industry. The Sri Lankan pavilion, located at Hall 1 - 165, successfully attracted international buyers and industry professionals, enhancing global recognition for Sri Lankan organic products.

The following Sri Lankan companies participated in the event: Ellawala Horticulture (Pvt) Ltd, Bespice (Pvt) Ltd, Ranre International (Pvt) Ltd, Jayanath Spices (Pvt) Ltd, Waguruwela Oil Mills (Pvt) Ltd, Ceylon Exports & Trading (Pvt) Ltd, Aikya Agro (Pvt) Ltd, People’s Organisation for Development Import and Export (PODIE), and Ceylon Coco Green Manufacturing (Private) Limited. The companies have secured more than USD 0.2 Mn worth confirmed orders at the trade fair itself and orders worth more than USD 0.83 Mn under negotiation stage.

By participating in BioFach 2025, Sri Lanka reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its organic exports and strengthening its presence in the global organic market.
