The UK Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Hugo Swire is scheduled to arrive in the island today on a 3 day visit.
The BBC quoting British Foreign Ministry sources said this is Minister Swire’s second visit to Sri Lanka.
He is expected to remain in the island till the 30th of January. Swire is scheduled to call on President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and several other ministers.
Hugo Swire will become the first high level diplomat to visit the island after the formation of the new government.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
