As a result of the re-opening, around 600 employees who became jobless with the closure of the factory will be re-employed. It is while producing 72,000 metric tons to the local market.
A Singaporean investor is to invest Rs.13,500 million on the project with the Sri Lankan government having 51% of shares while the investor having 49% of shares, a spokesperson of the project revealed.
