There will be showers at times in the sea area off the coast extending from Matara to Batticaloa via Pottuvil. Showers or thundershowers can be expected at a few places in the other sea areas during the period from 2 pm to 8 pm., the Met Dept. predicts.
Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The sea area extending from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Galle and Hambantota will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.
Sea areas may be temporally very rough during thundershowers as the winds can be strengthen up to 70-80kmph.
