Special public transport service to vote

The National Transport Commission has taken necessary action to provide additional transport services countrywide for the passengers leaving for their hometowns to vote for the election from August 14 to 18.

These additional services are expected to operate from Colombo and the suburbs to other parts of the country from August 14-16 and from the outstations to Colombo on 17th and 18th.

In addition to the services operating via the Southern Expressway from Kaduwala to Galle and Matara, transport services to Galle and Matara will also operatea from Town Hall in Colombo.

Measures have been taken to launch super luxury SLTB and Private Bus Services from Kadawata to Galle and Matara. The National Transport Commission has announced that these services will be operative from 5 am to 11 pm.
