Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Thundershowers may develop at a few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces during the afternoon or evening, the Met Dept. says.
Strong winds (up to 50-60 kmph) can be expected over the country (particularly over hill areas) and surrounding sea areas at times.
