A loan guarantee will be issued by the Treasury to obtain a loan facility amounting to Rs. 3,499 Million by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board from the Bank of Ceylon to commence 22 water supply projects by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board to expand the coverage of pipe water supply service on a priority basis.
The Cabinet of Ministers have already given approval to implement 22 water supply projects to widen the pipe water supply services on a priority basis under funds obtained from local banks.
