The admission card for the G.C.E. (A/L) has been modified for the convenience of the candidates with the addition of 3 new items, said examinations Commissioner General W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara.
The admission card includes the National Identity Card number of the student, the Examination Centre number and the stream.
G.C.E. (A/L) examination of this year will commence on August 04 and will continue up to August 13. After the General Election the examination will re-commence on August 24 and will be held until September 08.
A total of 309,069 candidates will sit for the examination this year, added Mr. Pushpakumara
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
News.lk publishes in three languages – Sinhala, Tamil and English.
