The Gampaha MC Health Inspectors had detected several centres that sell food items without expiry dates. They had successfully identified 10 centres in possession of unhygienic food

The Health Inspectors had severely warned the owners of these centres saying that stern legal action will be instituted against them if they continue to engage in selling such food. It is also planned to revoke permits of such centres.

These raids will continue to operate to detect centres that sell unhygienic food. .
